Investment StrategyOur investment strategy is focused on growth areas within the life sciences, health and wellbeing sectors. These sectors offer the chance of significant diversification by technology, business model and underlying market.

We invest exclusively within the UK, with no regional bias. Investments will be made at an early or development stage, typically no earlier than when the underlying technology has achieved proof of concept.

Longbow takes a ‘hands-on’ approach to post investment activity, always holding a board role as ‘Investor Director’ at times appointing a Longbow partner as the initial Chief Executive. Two partners currently act as ‘entrepreneurs in residence’ taking on these roles so the rest of the team can focus on investment activity.

We have actively built up strong relationships with large corporations that can assist at various stages of the investment process; from due diligence through post investment activity to ultimate exit. In particular, Longbow is a founding partner in the Boots Centre for Innovation, which is an innovation hub sourcing the best new ideas and products for the personal health and wellbeing sectors.
